Affordable Santorini Hotels for Lovely Sunsets

Known for its superb sunsets, Santorini is a lovely choice for any holiday and especially if you are looking for a romantic destination.

Whether you are heading to Santorini for your honeymoon or just a romantic escape, you’re probably looking for a hotel with a view of the volcano.

It’s true, however, that the view also adds a bit (more) to the room price. Thankfully, there are good choices away from the crowded Oia or Fira, which still offer lovely sunset views.

Do remember that Santorini is a very popular island and the hotels – especially the affordable one in good locations – book up really quickly. It’s not uncommon to see that entire hotels are completely sold out even four or five months in advance. So make sure you book the room the soonest possible.

In case you are looking for a place to propose, spend your honeymoon or a romantic anniversary, here are some budget Santorini hotels to consider for your stay:

Orizontes Boutique Hotel

This hotel is in Pyrgos, just 3 km from Fira. Situated among vineyards, it offers some lovely sea views.

There’s free wi-fi (in a dedicated corner), as well as a pool (with special area for children). Each room has TV, AC and minibar. Double rooms with sea view start at €247 per night for 2 adults.

In July, with a minimum of 3 nights, you will pay between € 740 and € 900 for a standard room and € 770 and € 1000 for a superior room.

During the low season you can get a standard room for as low as € 330 for 3 nights for 2 adults, and a superior for about €386 for 3 nights for 2 adults.

9 Muses Santorini Resort

This family resort is located close to Perissa Beach, the famous black beach. Combining traditional Greek architecture with modern amenities, it’s a great choice for a relaxing vacation. Or a romantic escape.

The hotel features an adults’ pool, a children pool, a gym and a bar. Breakfast is included in the room price. Double rooms start at €160 per night during the fall season, and from €290 during the high season.

Leon Luxury Suites

Located 4 km from Archaeological Museum of Thera, on the northern part of the island, Leon Luxury Suites offers standard, executive sea view rooms fitted with air conditioning, flat screen, coffee machine, free Wi-Fi and patios or terraces.

A suite with sea views starts from €159 during the low season and €430 during high season, a standard double, or a suit with a hot tub starts at €134 in low season and €387 in high season.

A deluxe sea view room can cos as much as €495 in high season, but prices may vary as availability is low.

Whitedeck Santorini

Located near to Skaros Rock in Imerovigli, with a stunning view of the towering rock, Whitedeck offers its guests 7 stunning recently renovated luxury suits. The nearby proximity of Fira town and the airport, all being a few km away, recommends the accommodation as a lovely choice for any traveler.

You can book private rooms with sun terraces and caldera views starting from €172 euros per night and Junior suits from €135 per night during low season, and superior suits from €192 to €213 euros.

During the high season the stunning room with views of the amazing sunsets will cost around €579 to €661, while the honeymoon suits around €900 for two nights. Do note that during the high season there’s a two-nights minimum stay policy.

Depending on when you travel, it can be an affordable yet not cheap options compared to the offerings, but the views are worth every penny.

Nefeli Homes

Offering stunning views of the sea and rooftop terraces, Nefeli Homes Complex offers accommodation for those who are looking for a picturesque memory of the incredible Caldera Sunsets.

Situated in Imerovigli, this accommodation offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, access to hot tub and an outdoor pool. The double room price starts from €118 for 2 persons per night during the low season and cave premium double from €130 per night.

Honeymoon suits with indoor pools start from €275 per night in April and go up as high as €500 per night in July. A cave premium double can go as high as €262 – 298 in July depending on the availability and dates. You can also find rooms for three or four.

Santorini Princess Spa Hotel

Also located in Imerovigli, this hotel offers spacious rooms for up to 4 persons. The rooms are equipped with AC and balcony, Wi-Fi, flat tv, deposit boxes and minibars. All rooms have panoramic costal views and access to an outdoor pool.

With a minimum length of stay of two nights in the low season, twin rooms start at €371 for the stay for two adults. While during the high season, with a minimum stay of 3 nights, you can pay as much as €1771 for your stay.

Villa Manos Hotel

A traditionally built villa located in Karterodos, around 1.5 km from Fira, this villa features rooms with ac, tv, and Wi-Fi. It also offers a bar, restaurant, and room service.

While the room views may not be of the sea, the sunsets are still astonishing at a very affordable price.

In low season room prices start at €65 per night for 2 adults, while a suit will cost €118 per night.

In high season, prices start from €122 for a double per night and €130 for a superior double or twin while the suits are around €272 per night.
