Before you Book

Before you book a hotel, please remember that:

• Hotel categories aren’t standard in Greece. So make sure to compare the location and facilities rather than the stars.
• Travel Agencies book the rooms in “bulk” so the prices offered tend to be lower than the ones you’ll find at the hotel. Also, if you choose to book via a travel agency you won’t have to worry about booking your flight or finding the appropriate ferry.

Best locations on Rhodes

The town is divided into two parts: the Old Town and the New Town. The Old Town is one of the biggest medieval cities in Europe and a wonderful place to spend time and explore the history. The New Town is quite modern and can get very crowded during the summer.

Most travelers prefer to stay in a hotel located near the beach, rather than in the Rhodes city center. Faliraki, located in the north eastern part of the island, is one of the most popular locations mostly among young travelers.

Worth Trying

If you want to stay in the Old Town of Rhodes, you should book a room at the International hotel Rhodes. This 2 star hotel is located within walking distance of the main attractions in Rhodes. Be careful that the air condition is not included in the price (€7 extra charge) but the room price includes the breakfast. For the 2008 summer season, expect to pay €33.30 per night per double room.

If you prefer to stay in a quiet village, such as Lindos, book a room at Lindos Star Hotel Rhodes. This 3 star hotel is located at only 200 meters / 656 ft from the sea. There is a pool and garden, while the rooms are equipped with TV, phone and safe box. During the 2008 summer season expect to pay €60.5 per night per double room.

Head to Faliraki and stay at Achousa Hotel, a nice 3 star hotel located really close to the resort center. The air conditioning is included in the room price and you can also use the internet. Prices are not yet available on line.
