While Christmas is not the most important Greek Orthodox holiday, it’s a lovely time to spend a vacation in Greece, particularly if you are interested in exploring the cultural part of the country.

In 2023, Christmas falls on a Monday. If you want to spend the holidays on the Greek mainland, consider arriving on Friday (December 22) and leaving on Wednesday (December 27).
