Getting from Athens to Delphi (and return)

Buses from Athens to Delphi

There are 5 buses daily, year round, connecting Athens to Delphi. The first one leaves at 7:30 a.m. The travel time is 3 h.
Buses leave from Terminal B, located near Omonia (Liosion Street, nr. 260). The terminal is easily accessed from Syntagma Square on city bus 024.
Tickets can only be bought at the bus station. Tickets cost around €7.50 per person*, one way.

Driving from Athens to Delphi

If you don’t like the idea of booking a tour or to depend on the bus schedule, then you can rent a car and drive to Delphi. It takes about 2 h 30 min to drive between the capital and Delphi (the modern town) and the road is spectacular, as it climbs the mountains.
